Slipknot To Join Iron Maiden And Rammstein
As Headliners At Download Event

Slipknot have been announced as the headliners for the Friday night on the 2013 Download Festival
Iron Maiden will headline Download on Saturday, June 15th whilst Rammstein close the weekend the following day.
The masked titans of metal join Iron Maiden (Saturday) and Rammstein (Sunday) to create what many will call the "most metal lineup to date".

SLIPKNOT's SID WILSON Replaces
KORN's JONATHAN DAVIS On 'Twins Of Evil' Tour

 SLIPKNOT DJ Sid Wilson will replace J DEVIL, the nefarious DJ alter ego of KORN frontman Jonathan Davis, as the opening act on the ROB ZOMBIE and MARILYN MANSON co-headlining "Twins Of Evil" tour.
  Davis canceled his participation in the trek after doctors ordered him to refrain from any travel and performing for the next few weeks while he recuperates from exhaustion following his recent eight-week overseas tour with KORN.  Via -  BLABBERMOUTH.NET

Slipknot Frontman To Make Big Announcement At New York Comic Con

SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor will make a special appearance at this year's New York Comic Con. He will be at the Dark Horse Comics booth to announce a brand-new project on Saturday, October 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The lawyer for the doctor who prescribed late Slipknot bass player Paul Gray with drugs and now charged with manslaughter for his death says Doctor Baldi was trying to help Gray, not kill the bassist and shouldn't be charged with any crime or wrongdoing.

An Iowa-based doctor had been arrested after unintentionally causing the death of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, long-term friend and bandmate Shawn Crahan, known by the stage name Clown, has released a statement.

“None of it is going to bring back our brother Paul,” Crahan commented when asked how he feels about the recent verdict. Clown also commented on the culture of prescription drug abuse in today’s society, “This epidemic of this sort of activity is becoming more and more … evident. It truly is becoming a problem amongst people. And it trickles all the way down to the youth. And awareness needs to be brought about.” Crahan continued to clarify that the issue lies with “not only substance abuse but the ability to acquire substances, to get chemicals and the efficiency of it….Hopefully justice will be served,”
